181-, $10 PROOF from the HARRISBURG BANK of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The Harrisburg Bank was chartered in 1814. This is a proof note on India paper with pen cancellations in the signature areas. Best described as Extremely Fine with missing pieces at the left and right edges (which are partially reinforced on the back with paper). The note has a thin area on the lower right above Pres. But this old note, made of fragile proof paper, has survived very well with its bright and pleasing overall appearance. The Hoober reference rates all proofs at Rarity 7.
