The 2005 mint set is the only source for the "2005 Satin Finish" varieties of these coins! This Uncirculated Coin Set was produced by the United States Mint facilities in Denver and in Philadelphia. Each coin from Denver bears the "D" mint mark and each coin from Philadelphia, except the one-cent coin, bears the "P" mint mark. Uncirculated coins are minted on special presses and are struck with greater force than circulating coins, producing a sharp, intricately detailed image. This Uncirculated Coin Set features the inclusion of two nickels - part of the Westward Journey Nickel Series (TM) which commemorate the bicentennials of the Louisiana Purchase and the Lewis and Clark Expedition. The five new quarter-dollars included in this set are part of the 50 State Quarters Program which was created to honor each of the 50 states in the order in which they were admitted into the Union.
