Description

You are bidding on an album of all 50 quarters from the US Mint’s 50 State Quarter program. All quarters come from rolls of uncirculated state quarters. All of the State Quarters are of “Beautiful Uncirculated” or BU quality, going directly from the roll to the album. This program began in 1999 with the issuance of the first 5 state quarters, and the program ends in 2008 with the last 5 state quarters being issued. Four of the five 2008 quarters have already been issued. The last state quarter is the Hawaii quarter issued from the US Mint on November 3, 2008. The winning bidder will receive the album containing the 49 state quarters already issued within 7 days of payment. The 50th state quarter is included and will be mailed to the winning bidder in the album if I receive my shipment from the US Mint prior to shipping your album. In the event I have not received my shipment prior to sending your album, the Hawaii coin will be mailed separately at no cost to you in November or December 2008 to complete the collection in time to give a completed album as a Christmas gift.As a bonus for purchasing early, this album also contains a 1976 Bicentennial quarter and a (George) Washington quarter originally issued between 1932 and 1998. The 1976 Bicentennial quarter was the only “Washington” quarter with a different image on the reverse side for quarters issued from 1932 – 1998.Assembling an album from state quarters collected from pocket change will result in quarters of less than BU condition. The only way to assure consistent BU quality is to use quarters from mint rolls. Anyone who wants a collection of BU quality state quarters will come to the same conclusion as I did. I bought 2 rolls of each state in the State Quarters program every year since 1999 so that I could give family and friends a gift of state quarters that were all in “BU mint” condition. Therefore I will have many albums left over. There are many other auctions for State Quarters collections. Read the text of other auctions carefully. No one has or will have the Hawaii quarter prior to November 3, 2008. Some auctions offer only 48 or 49 states. Other auctions offer the coins but not the album to put them in. There are a few auctions that appear to offer 50 state quarters but really are just offering an empty state quarter album.
